DEF EDUCATION ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM 2026
Imagination Heroes is an inclusive creative challenge that invites students to design their own original character such as a hero, sidekick or fictional persona, along with the world they belong to. Students may express their ideas using any medium, including drawings, digital art, physical models or short video explanations. The activity encourages creativity, storytelling and visual thinking, while allowing students to explore their imagination in a format they are comfortable with.
Game Changers is a problem-solving and innovation focused challenge that encourages students to think critically, work collaboratively and propose creative solutions to real world or simulated challenges. The activity is designed to develop strategic thinking, teamwork and communication skills, while introducing students to structured decision making in an engaging and student friendly format.
Register your school to unlock exclusive DEF partner experiences available only to participating schools. These special experiences will take place in the lead-up to the festival and on-ground during DEF, giving students access to unique activities throughout the journey. Availability is limited and allocated based on confirmed registrations through the DEF portal, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
GameQuest Express is an on ground gaming experience delivered at selected schools. The program introduces students to structured gameplay, teamwork and healthy competition in a supervised environment. The experience is designed to engage students through interactive gaming while promoting responsible participation and collaboration.
The School Visit TO Game Expo offers students the opportunity to attend DEF Education Day at the Dubai World Trade Centre. During the visit, students will experience interactive learning zones, student showcases and hands-on activities focused on gaming, creativity and technology. The visit aims to broaden students’ exposure to learning beyond the classroom and introduce them to future focused industries.
Gamers Day is a celebratory experience that brings together selected schools to recognise student participation across DEF Education activities. The day includes showcases, interactive experiences and opportunities for students to engage with gaming culture in a structured and positive environment. The activity aims to celebrate creativity, teamwork and student achievement
HOW SCHOOLS PARTICIPATE
Step 1Teachers log in to the DEF Education portal.
Step 2Teachers register an approximate number of students and select applicable activities.
Step 3Once activities officially open, schools conduct internal reviews and shortlisting.
Step 4Schools submit shortlisted entries via email for final review.
